International Street Music Festival on 20 and 21 June 2026
After more than 20 years, the Ludwigsburg Street Music Festival returns in 2026 with a fresh new look. The organizers have taken visitor feedback into account, developed exciting new ideas, and created a concept that makes this beloved open-air event even more family-friendly and varied.
When & Where:
Saturday & Sunday, June 20–21, 2026, at the beautiful Blühendes Barock Ludwigsburg – perfectly timed for the summer solstice with hopefully sunny weather and a great festival atmosphere.
What’s New in 2026:

Early Start for Families: From 11 a.m., children can enjoy hands-on activities and games.

Street Art Everywhere: From 1 p.m., clowns, jugglers, and acrobats will entertain visitors throughout the park.

Nonstop Street Music: From 3 p.m., nearly 40 musicians and bands from around the world will perform on 11 stages – featuring music from singer/songwriter and rock/pop to Latin, klezmer, hip-hop, and country.

Grand Finale Concert: On Sunday at 8:30 p.m., the audience favorites will perform on the main stage in front of the Residenzschloss, followed by the award ceremony.
Even though the festival is reduced to two days, the musical variety remains as rich as ever. Artists perform for an honorarium, appreciate the “hat money” and CD sales, and thrill visitors with passionate performances.

Yes, dogs are welcome but must be kept on a short leash. They are not permitted on play areas, planting areas, or near animals in the park. Owners are required to remove their pet’s waste immediately.
As large crowds are expected, we recommend not bringing a dog.
Yes, the festival is accessible. Please note, however, that some sections have steeper inclines. A detailed map is available under Service / Downloads („Wegeplan für Besucher mit Handicap“).

Safety instructions
The Ludwigsburg Street Music Festival implements additional safety measures, including random bag checks with a focus on dangerous items. Visitors are asked to minimize unnecessary bags and belongings. Knives, hazardous items, tables, tents, umbrellas, and large quantities of alcohol are not permitted.
